Photograph of a Bedouin Arab nomad girls tending goats in the Wadi Nafach in the Sinai Peninsula, Egypt. Goats are raised for milk, meat, and goat hair. Women and children often perform the shepherd role. The rounded sandstone rocks and boulders of the desert landscape express a timeless land that has not changed since the days of the Bible and biblical times. The wadi is a valley in the desert and the Bedouin are nomadic tribes. Photographed by Nathan Benn on April 15, 1975.
